Techiman, January 8, 2025 — The Adventist Church in Ghana reached a significant milestone with the official inauguration of the North Central Ghana Union Mission. This newly formed union will oversee mission work in the Bono, Bono East, Northern, Savannah, North East, Upper West, and Upper East regions.
The ceremonial First Day in Office event, held at the union’s headquarters in Techiman, was marked by vibrant celebrations and the presence of distinguished leaders, including officers from the Mid Ghana Union Conference, the mother conference of the new union.
In his keynote address, Pastor Dr. Kwame Annor Boahen, President of the Mid Ghana Union Conference, exhorted the workforce of the North Central Ghana Union to embrace their responsibilities with diligence, wisdom, and faithfulness. Drawing inspiration from Genesis 41:33-36, he highlighted the story of Joseph in Egypt as a model of visionary leadership and unwavering commitment.
The formation of the North Central Ghana Union signifies a new chapter in the growth of the Adventist Church in Ghana. Leaders and members alike are determined to expand their outreach, spreading a message of hope and redemption across the regions under their care.
As this new union embarks on its mission, there is great anticipation for the impact it will make in the lives of individuals and communities, furthering the Adventist Church’s vision of spiritual and social transformation.

This in deed is a milestone. May the Lord continue to help his church and guide his church in making the mission and vision of the church in that region a reality.
