On wednesday, April 8, 2026, traditionally observed as Wukudae, marked a significant and memorable moment of honor, unity, and mission.
The leadership of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana, led by Pr. Jonathan Owusu, Pr. Adeefe Kwakye, and Lt. Peter Nyarko Duodu, together with Executive Secretaries Solomon Kwadwo Osei, Nathan Odonkor, and Ackah Miezeh, representing three of the four unions: Mid Ghana Union Conference, South West Ghana Union Conference, and South East Ghana Union Mission, paid a courtesy call on His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.
Also present were the seven Conference Presidents and Executive Secretaries of the Mid Ghana Union Conference, demonstrating strong collective leadership and unity within the Church.
The visit was not only a gesture of respect but also one of deep spiritual significance, as the delegation offered prayers for His Majesty, committing his leadership, wisdom, and well-being into God’s hands.
In a further step toward strengthening partnerships in education and community impact, the delegation was joined by the leadership of Valley View University. They formally introduced to the Asantehene the establishment of a fully-fledged campus of the university in Kumasi, an important milestone that reflects the Church’s commitment to expanding quality Christian education and contributing meaningfully to national development.
The engagement was marked by warmth, mutual respect, and a shared vision for peace, development, and moral leadership in society.
