Kumasi, January 4, 2025 — The Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS), in collaboration with ALIVE Ghana, embarked on a transformative outreach program that touched lives at the Kumasi Central Prisons and Cherub’s Orphanage.

The day began at the Kumasi Central Prisons, where approximately 120 Adventist students joined the inmates in a worship service. During the visit, the group donated 10 bags of rice and provided funds to settle medical bills for some inmates. A silver collection held during the service further enhanced support for the initiative, demonstrating a deep commitment to meeting both spiritual and physical needs.

The team then proceeded to Cherub’s Orphanage, where they spent quality time with the children, singing, dining, and sharing moments of joy. The visit culminated in a donation of GHS 15,000 to support the orphanage’s operations, leaving a lasting impression of care and generosity.

These impactful acts of service were made possible through collective contributions that totaled GHS 70,000, including GHS 50,000 in cash and GHS 20,000 worth of items. The donations were sourced from individual student groups, the GNAAS National and NGUC Secretariat, missionary groups, and other volunteers.

Special acknowledgment was given to Mr. Kwame Adu Poku (3AM) for championing the cause and to all contributors for their unwavering support. “All glory to God for this successful outreach,” the organizers expressed. ” Everyone who made this initiative possible was deeply appreciated and others were encouraged to embrace similar efforts that transform lives and reflect Christ’s love in action.”

This outreach highlights the enduring spirit of compassion and service that defines the Adventist community, inspiring continued efforts to bring hope to the less privileged.
